Babri Issue:The other side

Many would show incredible offense at the content what is about to follow, however, instead of trying to conform with the social stances of the majority, I prefer to would add something more to it.

Being a population that suffered internal conflicts from the medieval beliefs of their own cultural laws, along with being brutally assaulted by foreign dictators, Hindus in India are not unknown to the idea of a foreign force attacking and destroying their heritage.

Even there are cases of a minute Hindu kings in the past attacking sacred Hindu shrines and destroying any form of resistance faced. But a much severe threat Hindus in India faced was from the advent of Islamic regimes that was sweeping north of Africa, middle east and also spreading across Asia.
Mohammad Bin Qasim became the first Islamic ruler to conquer the Sindh Part of India in around 715 AD. Mahmud of Ghazni and Muhammad Ghori, followed shortly around 1000 AD.
And after these conquest, More foreign rulers began to covet more and more area in India.

Persecution of Hindus and Buddhists and even Jains had already begun. Forceful conversion to Islam and plundering Temples and monasteries was the most common tool used to scourge out the religious and cultural tradition, many in India believed in.

One such notable event occurred under Babur's reign. In around the 1500s, Babur's men stormed into one of the most holiest shrine of Hindus in the city of Ayodhya and allegedly destroyed a sacred temple of the Hindus.
Ayodhya carries a significant spot in the hearts of all Vaishnavas, Hindus and even to a few Jains as it is the Birth place of Lord Rama, an incarnation of the Hindu deity, Lord Narayana, who ruled India for over 11,000 years and ushered in a golden age of justice and harmony.

The story goes that Babur allegedly destroyed the Temple (some even claim that the temple was the exact spot where Lord Rama took birth) and to show a symbol of conquest of Islam over other faiths, erected a Mosque on that immaculate spot.

On December 6th, 1992, as much as 150,000 volunteers of many Hindu groups, stormed the Mosque and attacked it with improvised weapons and was demolished in a few hours.
The movement to reclaim this sacred spot started in the 80s by the Vishva Hindu Parishad. Most of the 150,000 volunteers belonged to the mentioned group.

What followed, was Outrage by many Muslim groups in India. The first incident in India that occurred after the clash at Ayodhya was the attack on the train, filled with Rama-devotees in Gujarat. The train carrying women and children was set ablaze by a few muslims. 10 Children with many other women and men were burnt alive for a crime that was Never a part of them.

What followed later was a bloody massacre where an estimated 2000 people closed their eyes on this world. The Gujarat Riots still stands to be one of the greatest religious conflicts of all times in India. Most of the victims were people from innocent Muslim families. There was no distinction between the guilty and the innocent.
Rapes and butchering of children were part of this horrifying blue-print of death of both faiths.

Outside the world, the destruction of the Shameful symbol of Islamic superiority was met with lethal consequences. The Barbaric nation of Saudi Arabia called reclaiming a sacred place by it's original citizens as a "crime", while many Muslim Bangladeshis destroyed many temples in their nation.

But fact remains, that the mosque was indeed built on a Hindu temple. The archaeological findings of 2003, under the orders of the Allahabad High Court did find a 10th century temple in existence before the construction of the Babri Mosque.
According to the ASI:
Among the structures listed in the report are several brick walls ‘in east-west orientation’, several ‘in north-south orientation’, ‘decorated coloured floor’, several ‘pillar bases’, and a ‘1.64-metre high decorated black stone pillar (broken) with yaksha figurines on four corners’ as well as "Sanskrit inscription of holy verses on stone"
Hindu motifs of peacocks and Lotus flowers were found inside the demolished mosque. Undoubtedly, its now evident that the mosque was indeed created over the remains of a destroyed temple.

If the intentions of the VHP and other Hindus who destroyed the Babri Mosque was anti-Islamic, why not destroy other mosques in Ayodhya, or churches, or Buddhist temples?
Many mosques stands still even today at Ayodhya. There are many other mosques in India that are were destroyed and a mosque was constructed in their place.

Quwwat ul-islam mosque in Delhi is one such example, which is built on the grave of 20 plus Hindu temples.
However, under the protection of Indian Government, these ancient symbols of mockery over Hindu faith and culture cannot be reclaimed.

So, why does the media need to show only one side of the story while leaving out the justified cause of the base action?
Undoubtedly, The horrifying actions caused against Muslim families in the Gujarat can never be justified. Surely, the followers of "Maryada Purushottam" acted worse than Ravana. But does that leave the suffering of Hindu families out?
We have LGBT and feminists who say that "personal freedom should never be crushed in the name of tradition", so why are they silent when Islamic symbols meant not for worship but as weapons of cruel taunts over the brave souls who did their best to save their culture from Barbaric hands are displayed out in the open to remind Hindus of their misery?
If the British Conquest of India was seen as evil by secular Indians, Why can't they put the similar logic here?

Starting with a confession

There is nothing as overwhelming as rage, at least for me.

I might even call it my safety blanket at times. It's a familiar frenemy we both are joined in for a long time.
I admit that He visits me on the smallest of issues and his arrival is akin to a plume of hot ash covering me miles inside itself. I feel my fist being molded into a hammer and my eyes becoming deep lakes of lava.
My body heats up intensely and all I hear within me thousands of screaming souls, trying to climb a well from the netherworld with complete savagery.
I m no longer myself but a body ravaging with fire and two arms waiting to rip open anything I see in front of my eyes.

It is a familiar situation with me, as it occurs everyday, a several hundred times.

It is still in me as I write this post. I cannot pinpoint its genesis but I know that it's there.

People mostly talk about how compassion is the key to abolishing this dreaded part of me, but compassion for what?
For a person who is a part of hypocrisy? For those who condemn murder while supporting it?

Yes, inequality, hypocrisy and aggression.... calls HIM out. Despite knowing about my limitations on changing that event, I m still helpless.
I cant get rid of it completely.

Perhaps I am already aware that someday my anger will destroy my very existence, and maybe I should be ready for that.

I am not sure as how to derive a conclusion on this post, but I guess venting really doesnt have a structure.
